The MTA Program (degree code 102) requires the completion of about 13 courses for a total of 36 credit hours.  Full time and part time options of study are available.

 Admission Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year regionally accredited U.S. undergraduate institution or recognized foreign college or university. Official transcripts are required.
• Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or better
• GMAT minimum 500 out of 800 and 1500 overall GRE score out of 2400 (old version) Desire GRE 1200 in Verbal and Quantitative and 5 - 4.5 for Analytical writing (new version)
• If English is not your first language, a minimum 580 TOEFL score or 600 (EFL placement test will be required for candidates who present TOEFL score lower than 600)
• Three letters of recommendation
• Resume and Statement of Professional career goals
• Professional experience is desired, but it is not a requirement
• Application Fee $60.

When applying to the MTA Program at the Department of Tourism you may also want to consider applying to the Marriott Scholarship that is a tuition award of $4000 or for the Graduate Assistant position. Procedures and qualifications applies, the recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance. The deadline to submit an application for either one of the Financial Aid options listed above is February 1.
