Sarah Woodall Promotes Greenland Tourism
Recent MTA graduate, Sarah Woodall, is hard at work promoting Greenland to the world through her work with Visit Greenland, the national tourism board for the country. Sarah has been with the organization since May 2012, and has spent a total of nine months working and traveling in Greenland.
As a research consultant in the Documentation and Analysis Department, Sarah is a key player in Visit Greenland’s Mapping Project, which developed a new market segmentation of Greenland’s tourists. She has also assisted in writing national and regional level reports for tourism industry businesses, politicians, and other key stakeholders.
On Saturday, September 21st, Sarah will be presenting “Greenland in Facts, Figures, and Segments” at the Vestnorden Travel Mart 2013 in Nuuk, Greenland. The presentation will cover Visit Greenland’s new market segmentation as well as unveil a new website called Greenland Tourism Statistics. Vestnorden Travel Mart is a travel trade show representing the three countries in the North Atlantic Tourism Association – Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Iceland.
