Course Delivery
- On-Campus (In class - GW University, Washington DC)
- Program Format
Each Business Day course meets from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for one or two consecutive days. Traditional Weekend courses meet on Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The weekend schedule allows working professionals to obtain the knowledge they need with minimal interruption to their busy schedules. Each course is also available in a distance learning format.
- Free Information Seminars
Join GW's master teachers at a free seminar and learn about current trends, career paths, and how to prepare for a certificate. Seminars begin promptly at 7 p.m. and conclude within one hour including questions and answers. Preview course materials, meet faculty, and receive answers to your questions about the program and the industry. Seating is extremely limited. For seminar dates and information, please click here. - Online (Distance Learning)
Courses offered through distance education use online course materials accessed through the Internet and e-mail correspondence. Passwords for distance learning are emailed to registered students within 48 hours of registration. The course is completed after successfully completing a mastery quiz with a minimum score of 70/100. Students typically finish a course in about a month, although this can vary based on level of effort. Distance Learning courses must be completed within 1 year of registration and are non-refundable.
- On-Site (In your city or at your place of business)
Throughout the year, GW offers a variety of courses as ½ day and 2-day seminars at locations in major metropolitan areas across the nation. Courses can also be presented on-site at the locations of corporations and organizations, with content customized to the audience's specific needs. Seminars are sponsored by ISIS, IPI, and other well-known industry organizations. Content consists of relevant, current topics presented by highly credentialed GW instructors. These seminars are a popular way for companies, organizations and individuals to become acquainted with the valuable learning available from GW.
Textbooks
PLEASE NOTE: It is not necessary to obtain any textbook prior to beginning the course. These readings are recommended, but not required and you do not need to purchase them in order to complete the course. They are provided as suggested sources of additional information and perspectives for those who wish to explore further the topics covered in your course.
Required course material includes a workbook that will be provided to all in-class students. Distance learning students can download the workbook from the online version of the course.
